Second Skin, an exhibition at the Fashion Space Gallery coincides with and celebrates the 125th anniversary of Cordwainers at London College of Fashion. The exhibition, opening tonight, will provide visitors with the rare opportunity to see new and commissioned work by Cordwainers at London College of Fashion students and alumni, alongside leading footwear, accessories and artefact practitioners and designers.

The rich sensory experience of leather, with its luxurious textures and distinctive smell creates a meditative and contemplative environment. Work on display will oscillate between the sublime and the unexpected; from the perfect pair of stiletto heels to abstract sculptures which raise questions about the boundaries between art and fashion.
