London Fashion Week

This season’s London Fashion Week has been really up-tempo. There were suggestions that the inclusion of Tom Ford on the schedule would bring in buyers and that generally there was more buzz around London and what it might be showcasing than in previous years.
At a number of shows including John Rocha, people with seated tickets were turned away at the door but once inside the feeling at almost all of the shows I attended was one of excitement and of being ready to be inspired.
This was the perfect backdrop for the college’s debut at London Fashion Week, and we were so pleased to present 10 of our MA students at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. The event has shown aspiring young designers what is possible. The sun shone through the glass barrelled roof and stunning ironwork of the room this Friday morning just after the British Fashion Council officially Launched Fashion Week.
With production led by Lee Lapthorne, a soundtrack by Tom Findlay, the whole show was well received and seen as a welcome addition to London Fashion Week.
With our MA Exhibition of our graduating students at Victoria House, photographers, film makers, footwear, accessories and costume to see we invite all the visitors to London to come and see what we do at London College of Fashion.
