As promised, my TEDx talk that I performed as part of TEDx Whitehall ‘Don’t tell me fashion is frivolous’ is now online.
For my talk, I decided to speak about the importance of fashion. I discussed the fact that whilst fashion has its problems, ethically and environmentally, it can also be a force for change, there are now bras that can detect cancer, clothes that clean the surrounding air and 3D-printed fabrics. It’s time to forget frivolity and start thinking much more seriously about what it is we wear.
